Dr. Gardner works with patients age 16 and older who are experiencing:

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, more commonly known as ADHD, is a brain disorder that can affect people differently.

This disorder is characterized by severe episodes of anxiety that interfere with daily functioning, and frequently are accompanied by physical symptoms including shortness of breath or chest tightness.

Eating Disorders

Eating disorders are illnesses in which people experience dramatic changes in their eating habits, as well as thoughts and emotions.

Persistent Complex Bereavement Disorder (Grief)

Any person who has dealt with the loss of a loved one understands the complexity of the grieving process and treating PCBD.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

OCD is a chronic anxiety disorder that causes an individual to experience an irresistible urge to perform actions repetitively.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Post-traumatic stress disorder is a psychiatric condition that is often seen in individuals who have been through a traumatic event such as a natural disaster or war.

Anxiety

We also offer treatment to those who are coping with life stressors including divorce, grief, life transitions, and relationship issues. Dr. Gardner utilizes various proven evidence-based treatment modalities to address your concerns, including both pharmacotherapy (medications), and psychotherapy.


 

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy or “talk therapy” can be implemented to help individuals who may struggle with a variety of mental illnesses, or those facing life stressors or transitions.

Medication Management

Dr. Gardner will carefully explain the purpose and reasoning behind why a specific medication was prescribed, and will always educate the patient of any potential side effects that they may experience.

Telepsychiatry Appointments

While Dr. Ashley Gardner sees patients in her office in Wylie, Pathway Psychiatry also offers online services, referred to as  “telepsychiatry.” This allows Dr. Gardner to see patients throughout the state of Texas.

Fee Schedule

Dr. Gardner does not participate in any health insurance plans, Medicare, or Medicaid, which can impose restrictions on the amount of time spent on your treatment or the type of treatment provided. All fees are due at the time of service. Thus, Dr. Gardner is considered an “out of network” provider, and patients with out-of-network benefits may be entitled to reimbursement by their health insurance company. If you have questions about whether or not you are eligible for out of network reimbursement, please contact your insurance company. All patients will be provided with a billing statement that can be submitted for this purpose.

Initial Consultation and Evaluation
60 minutes

Medication Management Follow-Up
20 minutes

Therapy or Combination Treatment Follow-Up
45 minutes
$225

* Care outside of sessions (telephone calls, paperwork requests) is billed at a pro-rated hourly rate. Please see our Practice Policies and Procedures form for more details.

The initial evaluation will be a thorough interview allowing Dr. Gardner to understand your current concerns, your history, and your goals of treatment. Together, you and Dr. Gardner will discuss a possible treatment plan and recommendations, which may include medications, psychotherapy, or “talk therapy”, and/or other treatments. The initial visit is a consultation to determine if the clinic is a good fit for your needs and if you would benefit from continuing into treatment with Dr. Gardner. The initial consultation is not a guarantee of continued treatment.

Follow up appointments vary from 20-45 minutes as described above, and the length is determined by your individual needs and goals. The length of time between your appointments is also individually determined, and all patients are seen at least every three months by Dr. Gardner.
